BRINGING TOGETHER COMMUNITY THROUGH PRAYER.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Finding rest perfectly describes the purpose of this project we are working on is about.

Our world, even before COVID, had become more fractured and lonely than ever before. The ways of life in our society focus so much on labor and productivity that we often forget ourselves, our community, and God.

Our goal is to help, by offering a space for people who have become lost in this world, to come together in spiritual communion and find rest… rest for their souls and selves.

Over the past few years, the world has become a difficult place to live in. It has seemed impossible at times to connect with one another, with ourselves, or with God. This was what we are here to offer.

NightSong began as a small community outreach project started by St. Philip’s in the Hills Episcopal Church. The idea was simple: to share a compline service with the wider Tucson community. However, as time progressed the idea began to form into something larger. We came to realize how many people there were in Tucson who needed community and a chance to connect with one another on a spiritual level.

Because of this need St. Philip's hired an Episcopal Service Corps member Christopher Campbell to help build a new local spiritual community around the ancient service of Compline.

With this direction in mind, Chris began participating with multiple local businesses, starting with Flam Chen, and together they are working to build this new community.
